Here’s what we mean when we say it.
The MADS community uses a unique language to describe our model, roles, and offerings.
This shared understanding helps align our actions, intentions, and impact.

  • Credibility

    Trust earned through consistent values, demonstrated actions, and public accountability within the MADS ecosystem.

  • Development Partner

    A business or institution working with MADS to improve internal teams, host learners, or contribute resources toward shared goals.

  • Employment Partner

    An organisation that hires or absorbs learners into permanent roles after internship or training exposure.

  • Engagement Forum

    A structured setting (in-person or digital) where learners, leaders, legends and businesses connect and collaborate.

  • Host

    A business who offers a longer-term internship opportunity (3–12 months) to a learner.

  • Learner

    An individual entering or growing within the industry through MADS—typically a student, intern, early-career professional, or someone in the workforce seeking to learn something new through a MADS offering.

  • Leader

    An active industry professional who mentors, facilitates, or contributes to the growth of others through MADS.

  • Legend

    A seasoned industry veteran (active or retired) who shares wisdom, teaches, and shapes future professionals.

  • LLL Model

    The Learners, Leaders & Legends Model—a framework developed externally and implemented exclusively by MADS within the media, advertising, and communication industry to foster intergenerational collaboration and growth.

  • Mentorship Partner

    An organisation that partners with MADS to guide Learners by providing dedicated mentors (individuals) for a defined duration, offering structured support, reflection, and wisdom-sharing to nurture growth.

  • Shadow

    A short-term, observational learning experience (typically 1–2 weeks) hosted by a business or professional.

  • Showcase

    A public or industry-facing event where Learners, Leaders, Legends, or Businesses present their work, stories, or ideas.

  • Pipeline

    A progression pathway designed by MADS to move learners toward industry participation and businesses toward sustainability.

  • Visibility Platform

    A curated space (event, content, or feature) where Learners and businesses are seen, supported, and promoted.
